Back to school – learning about Charleston’s History – and making short films!
August 5- 9, 2019
Back to school – we gather to visit various historical locations to learn, then write and publish, and enjoy the last days of summer. We use digital cameras and also IPads to take photos and short films, then edit into a final video story on each location we visit.
Beginning at The Charleston Museum., then The Powder Magazine, The Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon, The Charleston Pinckney National Historic Site and if time, the Hunley! Each location we take photos and shoot short videos, and by Friday, we gather at the Charleston County LIbrary to assemble all our content into short films for posting and sharing.
Students are encouraged to bring a 16 gig thumb drive to save their work on.
Bring a bag lunch daily, and a towel often, when we are downtown.
$180 for the week, or by day $60.
Sign up and reserve your students’s place by visiting our store/camps on the website
