What a great experience! Reading is alive and well!

Saturday, August 31, 2019, we attended the National Book Festival.  On the floors of the Washington Convention Center, books were everywhere with often the author, lots of activities for children and a great book sales area!

Special note was Tom Angleberger and his THE STRANGE CASE OF ORIGAMI YOGA.  He was in the Pizza Hut booth and was interacting with all the kids!  He drew YODA – and then showed us how to use an origami technique to fold and then YODA began to speak!  Lots of fun.  You can find our short interview with him on our Instagram – (teambackpackjournalists).  So can we say STEM and LITERACY?
