Need a great educational gift to give this Holiday season? A Backpack Journalist workshops this past summer for military youth produced a book on fossils found at Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument. The purchase of this book allows the program to donate a percentage of the sales ($5.00 per book) to support 2014 “FREE” Workshop for military youth. Nature Storytelling with Fossils is written by military youth for youth, starting in grades 3 and up, with projects included. It’s in full color, with QR codes aligning with other websites that support the education of fossils! Each book also comes compete with an “E” book for viewing on a mobile device! Great for a tech savvy young person, family or the classroom. Your support is greatly appreciated.
